Leaked details of the anticipated new Sony Xperia 1 VI

At its launch on May 17, Sony is anticipated to reveal its flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1 VI. Although we’ve heard a few tidbits about it in recent weeks, a fresh report today provides further information.

Now let’s get started. Not unexpectedly, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC will power the Xperia 1 VI. Three cameras will be included: a 16mm ultrawide, a 24mm primary (48mm with 2x optical zoom), and an 85-170mm telephoto zoom.

The Xperia 1 V’s zoom camera was limited to 125mm, but this one’s extends beyond. The other specifications appear to be the same. Sony promises that the Xperia 1 VI’s primary camera will rival its “full-size” cameras in terms of image quality, and it will offer macro shooting. After years of having several camera applications, there will just be one new camera app when the major software revolution happens—apparently inspired by Sony’s Alpha series cameras. Additionally, the Xperia 1 VI will have “human pose estimation technology” that is derived from the Alpha series. This technology will enable you to precisely concentrate on objects even if their faces are hidden or they are looking away. Additionally, a new software called Video Creator will make the process of creating videos easier.
The Xperia 1 VI is expected to include improved bass and clarity from its speakers, and it will retain the 3.5mm headphone connector. The phone will come in the black and “platinum silver” hues, as shown below, and features frosted textured glass on the rear.
The OLED panel is supposed to be 1.5 times brighter than the one in the Xperia 1 V, and the display will reportedly have the often-rumored larger aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Naturally, the refresh rate of the display will also be changeable, spanning from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. 240 Hz is the touch sampling rate.
According to reports, the battery has a 5,000 mAh capacity. It also has updated battery health technology integrated, which may increase the lifespan of the cell to four years. Both wireless and reverse wireless charging will be supported by the phone.

Accompanying the purchase of the Xperia 1 VI in “selected regions” is a one-year complimentary streaming subscription to Sony Pictures, in addition to up to five phone-optimized IMAX video and DTS sound movie titles.
