Now with 150 million active users, Threads now offers an option to archive posts.

Elon Musk, the owner of X, often makes fun of Threads, yet it keeps expanding.

During Meta’s most recent earnings call, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that Threads currently has over 150 million monthly active users.

That is a significant rise from February, when Zuckerberg said that Threads had 130 million monthly users. July of last year marked the app’s first 100 million user milestone.

In contrast, Twitter boasts of about 550 million monthly active users worldwide—that is, if you believe the official numbers provided by Musk and X, which several research companies contest.

In any case, the company isn’t  resting on its laurels. Instagram and Threads Head Adam Mosseri announced on Wednesday that Threads is exploring the ability to archive posts “with a small number of people.”
You have the option to automatically archive all of your posts after a predetermined amount of time, or you may archive individual posts manually.

Mosseri claims that this function was offered as an option because Threads users said in a survey that they preferred not to have it turned on by default.
