The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, the company’s first foldable smartphone to be introduced in India was released on Thursday, June 6. Vivo offers a number of foldable-screen phones, but they are all exclusive to the Chinese market. Since April of this year, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro had also been launched in China.
It has the Zeiss brand triple rear cameras and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The 8.03-inch AMOLED inner screen of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
Vivo X Fold 3 Pro Price and Availability
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro costs Rs. 1,59,999 in India for the only 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model. There is a Celestial Black color option available. Pre-booking is presently available on Amazon, Flipkart, and the Vivo India website. June 13 is when the phone will eventually go on sale.
Vivo is offering up to Rs. 15,000 in bank incentives as an initial promotion on payments made with HDFC and SBI cards. Customers may also benefit from a one-time free screen replacement and an exchange incentive of up to Rs. 10,000.
Moreover, free EMI options are available for a maximum of 24 months, with monthly EMI rates beginning at Rs. 6,666. Vivo’s Wireless charging 2.0, priced at Rs. 5,999, will be offered offline and on Vivo E-store starting on June 17.
India is now one of the first foreign markets to receive a foldable Vivo phone with the release of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. In India, it will compete with devices like the Tecno Phantom V Fold, OnePlus Open, and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Specifications of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro combines Funtouch OS 14 with Android 14, and a dual-SIM (Nano + Nano). Its 8.03-inch main 2K (2,200×2,480 pixel) resolution E7 AMOLED display has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, support for Dolby Vision, and compatibility with HDR10. It has an AMOLED cover display with a 6.53-inch (1,172×2,748 pixel) resolution. Up to 120Hz refresh rate is supported by both displays. Screen-to-body ratios for the cover screen and main screen are, respectively, 90.92 percent and 91.77 percent.
An octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB of UFS4.0 storage powers the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.
It has a carbon fiber hinge that is said to last for more than 12 years with 100 folds a day.
Glass is used for the front of the phone, while glass fiber makes up the rear. The material used to make the central piece is aluminum alloy.
The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has a triple Zeiss-backed rear camera configuration that includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.68 lens and OIS support, a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor that can zoom up to 3x, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The 32-megapixel f/2.4 aperture selfie cameras are located on the cover screen and main screen. The phone has the V3 photography chip from Vivo.
5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, A-GPS, OTG, and a USB Type-C connector are among the connectivity choices available on the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. It is equipped with an infrared blaster, accelerometer, air pressure sensor, multispectral sensor, proximity sensor, flicker sensor, gyro, electronic compass, color temperature sensor, laser focus sensor, and air pressure sensor. For authentication, the phone features a fingerprint sensor. It is water and dust resistant, with an IPX8 rating.
A 5,700mAh lithium battery that supports 50W wireless and 100W wired charging powers the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. When unfolded, the dimensions are 159.96×142.4×5.2 mm and the weight is 236 grams.
